Examination of hair

Description

Examination of hair samples for structural defects is an inexpensive, non- invasive investigation which may provide important diagnostic information in a range of paediatric conditions. Samples of cut or plucked hair are examined, in the first instance, by light microscopic procedures and if required further analysis by scanning electron microscopy is offered.
