Run at a titre of: 1:40; Detects the following antibodies:
Smooth muscle (SM): often a non-specific finding. Occurs in type I autoimmune hepatitis (along with ANA). Also found in some patients with Hepatitis A and C infections.
Liver kidney microsome (LKM) found in Type 2 autoimmune hepatitis . Also occurs in Hepatitis C.
Mitochondrial (MITO) : found in primary biliary cirrohsis (a rare disease in children)
Reticulin: false positives frequently found. Positive in coeliac disease with low specificity and sensitivity
Gastric partietal cell (GPC): found in pernicious anaemia. This is very rare in children
