Description

Translocation Detection by Reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). All tests are comlemented by amplification of a relevant housekeeping gene to test the quality of the RNA.Please note that this test is currently not quantitative.

Additional information

The BCR-ABL p210 transcript is observed in nearly all cases of CML. Philadelphia positive ALL cases are associated with the BCR-ABL p190 transcript as well as a number of CMML cases. The RT-PCR test is currently qualitative.
